Internationally, the Institute of Financial Studies is a regional examination center for Southeast Europe for the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK) and the American Institute for CPCU (USA).

Since 2009, the Institute is an active member of the European Financial Certification Organization EFICERT. EFICERT acts for uniformising European certification based on national qualifications in accordance with well-defined standards. Starting with 2011, the Institute became a member of the EFICERT Board of Directors and 2015 General Assembly will hold EFICERT in Romania.

Member of LOMA. Starting with January 2017, the Institute of Financial Studies became a member of LOMA, an international trade association for the insurance and financial services industry. With LOMA membership, the Institute of Financial Studies will stay abreast of current industry trends, regulations, emerging technologies and best learning practices in the industry which will be shared with local market.

The Institute is a member of the Sectorial Finance, Banking, Insurance, helping to develop standards and educational programs coordinated by the National Council for Adult Vocational Qualification and Training.

The Institute of Financial Studies concluded a partnership with The Romanian Insurance Brokers-Reinsurance Brokerage Agency in order to develop the professional competencies of the PRBAR members by identifying the PBAR members' training needs, organizing partnership events, developing personalized training programs at high quality standards, and support in obtaining international certifications for interested people.
